Custom porcelain veneers from a cosmetic dentist a few minutes from Clarkdale. Family practice, free consultations, two-visit process, and same-day emergency appointments when you need them.

Veneers care for the Clarkdale community

Clarkdale sits inside the broader Austell area, with a long history connected to the Coats and Clark thread mill that gave the community its name. Today it is one of the smaller, neighborhood-feel pockets of Cobb County, and that character matches how we run Vibrant Smiles. Our practice is small enough that you will know the people who treat you, but the equipment, the case range, and the cosmetic specialty are what you would expect from a larger office.

From most Clarkdale addresses, the office is about a 5 to 8 minute drive via Floyd Road or Veterans Memorial Highway. That puts us inside the same daily-errand radius as the grocery store. For Clarkdale patients investing in a long-term cosmetic case, the proximity is a fair tiebreaker once the case planning checks out.

What porcelain veneers actually are

Porcelain veneers are thin custom shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. Each one is shaped, shaded, and sized to fit your face, your bite, and the smile you want. A well-designed set looks like the smile you wish you had been born with.

Veneers are useful when teeth are:

  • Stained or discolored beyond what whitening can fix
  • Chipped, cracked, or worn down
  • Slightly crooked or unevenly sized
  • Smaller than the face shape calls for
  • Spaced apart in a way you don't like

If a tooth needs serious structural repair, a crown or bonding may serve the case better. The screening visit settles which option fits your situation.

Porcelain or composite

Porcelain veneers are lab-fabricated, photograph-natural, stain-resistant, and last 10 to 15 years on average. They cost more upfront and are placed across two visits. Composite veneers are sculpted directly on the tooth in one appointment, cost less, and are reversible, but they pick up stains over the years and typically get replaced every 5 to 7 years.

For most adult Clarkdale patients planning a smile makeover, porcelain is the longer-lasting choice. Composite is a strong fit for younger patients or for fixing a single chipped front tooth where the option to change course later matters.

Are you a candidate?

Veneers do their best work when:

  • Your teeth and gums are basically healthy
  • There is enough enamel for a clean bond
  • You are not a heavy grinder, or you are willing to wear a nightguard
  • You have a clear sense of what you want the result to look like

Active decay, gum disease, or a still-growing patient mean we treat those issues first. The screening visit settles whether veneers are a fit or whether something else (a crown, orthodontics, gum work) would serve you better.

How the process works

Two appointments, roughly two to three weeks apart. The first visit is the design and prep visit: photos, a 3D scan, the conversation about goals, the prep itself (about 0.5 mm of enamel removed), temporary veneers placed, and the prescription sent to our dental lab. The second visit is the placement: temporaries off, final veneers checked for fit and color, and bonded one tooth at a time. Bite adjustment, polish, comfort check, and you walk out with the result.

Cost, insurance, and financing

Veneer cost depends on the number of teeth treated, the material, and any prep work needed first. Every Clarkdale patient leaves the consultation with a written treatment plan that itemizes each charge.

  • In-network with many major dental PPO plans. We file your claims, follow up on delays, help with family-plan coordination, and submit electronically. Complimentary phone benefits review available before your first visit.
  • CareCredit healthcare financing for fixed monthly payments with interest-free options, subject to approval.
  • Friends & Family Membership Plan for patients without dental insurance. Cleanings, exams, and routine x-rays for the membership year, plus discounts on procedures. Benefits start the day you join. No deductibles, waiting periods, or annual maximums.
  • We accept cash, debit cards, and most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).

How to get to Vibrant Smiles from Clarkdale

Clarkdale sits about three to four miles from our Mableton office. Most Clarkdale patients reach us in 5 to 8 minutes via Floyd Road directly, or via Veterans Memorial Highway and a short hop south. The drive is short enough that we see patients who run errands in Mableton and stop in for a cleaning or follow-up on the same trip.

Driving orientation:

  • From the central Clarkdale residential corridor along Veterans Memorial Highway: about 5 to 7 minutes via Floyd Road
  • From the historic Clarkdale community near the old mill site: about 6 to 8 minutes
  • From the Clarkdale Park area: about 5 to 7 minutes via Floyd Road

Because Clarkdale is a smaller community, many of our cosmetic patients here find us by word-of-mouth. If a neighbor or family member has had a veneer case at Vibrant Smiles, ask them about their consultation. Their answer should match what you read on this page: a written treatment plan, real conversation about options, and no pressure to book the case before you are ready.

If you would like to see the office before booking the consultation, call (678) 810-1100 to arrange a brief tour. Walk-ins are not always practical given the appointment schedule, but a quick call usually arranges a visit within a few days.

Veneers FAQs

How close is the office to Clarkdale?

Most Clarkdale patients reach our office at 5015 Floyd Rd SW in 5 to 8 minutes via Floyd Road or Veterans Memorial Highway.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years with regular checkups, good home hygiene, and a nightguard if you grind.

Are veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers are considered a permanent cosmetic procedure because a thin layer of enamel is removed during prep. The veneer can be replaced when it wears out, but the original enamel cannot be restored.

Do veneers ruin natural teeth?

Done properly, no. The 0.5 mm of enamel removed during prep is offset by the protection the veneer provides. Risk comes from poor case planning or untreated underlying issues, which is why screening matters.

How much do veneers cost?

Cost depends on the number of teeth, the material, and any prep work needed first. Every patient leaves the consultation with a written treatment plan and a walk-through of insurance, CareCredit, and the Friends & Family Membership Plan.

Does the practice see whole families for routine care?

Yes. Vibrant Smiles is a family and cosmetic practice. We see children, teens, and adults in the same household, and many of our cosmetic veneer cases start as conversations during routine cleanings.

How long does the veneers process take?

Two appointments, two to three weeks apart. Each visit usually wraps in under 90 minutes.
