Powder Springs sits a bit further out from our office than some of the other South and West Cobb communities, but for Delta Dental patients, the drive is worth it. Vibrant Smiles is in-network with Delta Dental and accepts new Powder Springs patients on an ongoing basis.
Powder Springs is a busy community with a wide mix of dental needs, from young children getting their first cleanings to retirees thinking about dental implants. The question for Delta Dental patients is which in-network practice can handle the full range of those needs without sending you to a different office for every service.
In-Network Delta Dental Care for Powder Springs Patients
Vibrant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is in-network with Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier. Powder Springs patients with Delta Dental PPO or Premier plans receive the in-network rate at Vibrant Smiles. We file claims directly with Delta Dental so the paperwork is off your plate. We file your claim directly with Delta Dental, so you do not pay up front and then chase reimbursement.
Dr. Chea Rainford leads the practice. Powder Springs patients see Dr. Rainford or one of the practice's hygienists for cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, root canals, dentures, implant restorations, and cosmetic work. The full scope of care happens in one office, on one chart, with one team that knows your history.
Comfort and Technology in the Office
Powder Springs patients tell us the office feels calm and the appointments do not feel rushed. Part of that is scheduling. Part of it is the technology we use, which lets us work faster and more precisely so the chair time stays reasonable.
- VELscope oral cancer detection system
- Low-radiation digital x-rays
- 3D cone beam imaging for implant planning
- Intra-oral cameras so you can see what we see
- Picasso Lite soft tissue laser
- STA single-tooth anesthesia for more comfortable numbing
- 3M True Definition digital impression scanner (no goopy trays)
Other Insurance Plans We Accept
Beyond Delta Dental, Vibrant Smiles is in-network with most major dental PPO plans and accepts all traditional dental PPO insurances. If you have insurance through a different carrier, call our office and we will check your coverage before your visit.
We file your insurance claims for you, track the claims through processing, follow up on anything delayed, and help sort out family-plan coordination when it gets complicated. We submit claims electronically, which means faster and more secure processing.
One note on insurance, because patients ask: insurance companies set their reimbursement based on their own internal estimates of 'Usual and Customary Rates,' and they are not required to disclose how they calculate those rates. That is the reason a procedure can be partially covered rather than fully covered. We will always tell you what we expect insurance to pay and what you can expect to pay out of pocket before any treatment begins.
What if You Do Not Have Delta Dental?
Not everyone in Powder Springs has dental insurance, and we work with patients who pay out of pocket every day. Here are the options:
Friends and Family Membership Plan
Our in-house membership plan is built for patients without dental insurance. It is a flat annual fee that includes:
- Cleanings, exams, and routine x-rays at no additional cost
- Exclusive savings on procedures like fillings, crowns, and other treatments
- Benefits that start immediately on the day you join
- 12 months of membership from your join date
- No deductibles, waiting periods, annual maximums, claim denials, or pre-approvals
Call the office for current pricing and to enroll.
CareCredit Healthcare Financing
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card built for medical, dental, and wellness expenses. It offers interest-free financing (subject to approval) and lets you spread the cost of larger treatments like crowns, implants, or full-mouth work across fixed monthly payments. We can walk you through the CareCredit application at the office or you can apply ahead of your visit.
Out-of-Pocket Payments
We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
About Dr. Chea Rainford

Dr. Chea Rainford, DMD, has practiced dentistry in Georgia for more than 15 years. He is a general, cosmetic, and implant dentist, and he leads Vibrant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Powder Springs patients see Dr. Rainford for routine care like cleanings and exams as well as complex work like full-mouth implant cases and cosmetic smile makeovers.
Dr. Rainford earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of West Georgia, with a minor in Biology. He went on to The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD). After dental school, he completed post-graduate training in four specialty areas: Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics. That cross-specialty training is the reason patients can have most of their care handled in one office, with one provider who knows their case from start to finish, instead of being sent to a different specialist for each step.
Licenses, Memberships, and Fellowship
Dr. Rainford's professional credentials and ongoing affiliations include:
- Licensed Dentist, State of Georgia

Frequently Asked Questions from Powder Springs Patients
Is the drive from Powder Springs to Vibrant Smiles worth it?
That is up to you, but most Powder Springs patients tell us the drive is shorter than they expected once they take the East-West Connector route. The trade-off is a longer drive in exchange for an in-network Delta Dental practice that handles everything from cleanings to implants under one roof, instead of switching offices for different services.
Do you take Delta Dental for dental implants?
Many Delta Dental plans now include some coverage for implants, though it varies a lot by plan. Crowns that go on top of an implant are usually covered more generously than the implant itself. We will pull your plan details and tell you exactly what to expect before any implant work begins.
Can I bring the whole family on the same day?
Yes, when scheduling allows. Many Powder Springs families book back-to-back appointments to cut down on driving. Call (678) 810-1100 and we will see what we can line up for your family.
Book a Visit
If Powder Springs traffic and the drive feel like a stretch, ask about combining a cleaning, exam, and any planned restorative work into the same visit to cut the number of trips.
Call (678) 810-1100 or use the online contact form to request an appointment. Have your Delta Dental member ID handy if you can. If you cannot reach us during office hours, leave a message or send the contact form and we will call you back the next business day.
