Coverage details vary by plan, but here is the general pattern for Delta Dental PPO and Premier members at our office:
- Preventive care: cleanings, exams, x-rays, and oral cancer screenings. Most Delta Dental plans cover these at or close to 100%, which means your routine cleaning may cost $0 out of pocket.
- Basic restorative care: tooth-colored fillings, simple extractions, and root canals. Most plans cover a large share of these.
- Major care: crowns, bridges, dentures, partial dentures, and many implant-related procedures. Coverage is usually a smaller share but still meaningful.
- Cosmetic dentistry: veneers, whitening, and elective cosmetic bonding are usually not covered. We give a clear written estimate before any cosmetic work begins.

Beyond Delta Dental, Vibrant Smiles is in-network with most major dental PPO plans and accepts all traditional dental PPO insurances. If you have insurance through a different carrier, call our office and we will check your coverage before your visit.
We file your insurance claims for you, track the claims through processing, follow up on anything delayed, and help sort out family-plan coordination when it gets complicated. We submit claims electronically, which means faster and more secure processing.
One note on insurance, because patients ask: insurance companies set their reimbursement based on their own internal estimates of 'Usual and Customary Rates,' and they are not required to disclose how they calculate those rates. That is the reason a procedure can be partially covered rather than fully covered. We will always tell you what we expect insurance to pay and what you can expect to pay out of pocket before any treatment begins.

About Dr. Chea Rainford
Dr. Chea Rainford, DMD, has practiced dentistry in Georgia for more than 15 years. He is a general, cosmetic, and implant dentist, and he leads Vibrant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Vinings patients see Dr. Rainford for routine care like cleanings and exams as well as complex work like full-mouth implant cases and cosmetic smile makeovers.
Dr. Rainford earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of West Georgia, with a minor in Biology. He went on to The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, where he earned his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD). After dental school, he completed post-graduate training in four specialty areas: Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics. That cross-specialty training is the reason patients can have most of their care handled in one office, with one provider who knows their case from start to finish, instead of being sent to a different specialist for each step.
