A Practice That Works for Smyrna Schedules
Most Smyrna patients we see are commuters. Some work in Cumberland, some in Buckhead, some downtown. The common thread is the question they always start with: 'When can you fit me in that doesn't require taking off work?' The Wednesday evening slot (we are open until 7 p.m.) was added for exactly that audience. Many of our Smyrna families have one parent booked at 6 p.m. on a Wednesday and the kids in the chair Saturday-adjacent slots.
Meet Dr. Chea Rainford

Dr. Rainford handles general, family, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry in this office. After dental school at the Medical College of Georgia, he completed post-graduate training in prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics, plus a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. His chairside approach is calm, explanatory, and honest about cost and necessity. If a procedure is not needed, he will say so. If it is, he will explain why and walk you through what your real options are. Smyrna patients who hate having their time wasted tend to stay with the practice for the same reason: appointments run on schedule and decisions get made on facts.
A look at his training and credentials:
- DMD, Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry (Augusta, GA)
- BS Chemistry, University of West Georgia
- Post-graduate training in prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics
- More than 15 years practicing dentistry in Georgia
- Fellow, International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI)
- Member, American Dental Association (ADA)
- Member, Georgia Dental Association (GDA)
- Member, North Georgia Dental Society
- Member, Academy of General Dentistry
- Member, Hinman Dental Society
- Member, American Academy of Facial Esthetics

Outside the office, Dr. Rainford and his wife are active in their local church and volunteer with several charities. He is a longtime Falcons and Braves fan and plays soccer and cricket from his school days. He sees Smyrna patients across the full spectrum: 30-something professionals booking a 6 p.m. Wednesday cleaning between Truist Park traffic, parents bringing kids in after Market Village errands, and retirees who want one dentist for the whole family rather than three referrals.
Family Dentistry That Fits Real Life
Kids
First dental visits, sealants, fluoride, and athletic mouth guards for kids at Campbell, Wheeler, or the local rec leagues. We schedule pediatric appointments back-to-back with sibling or parent visits so families make one trip rather than three. The hygienists are trained to make first visits feel low-stakes.
Teens
Orthodontic consultations, sports mouth guards, wisdom-tooth evaluations, and cosmetic work for teens who want a confidence boost before senior pictures or prom. We coordinate with orthodontists when needed.
Adults
The full range: cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, periodontal therapy, cosmetic bonding, veneers, whitening, and implants. Most working adults book the Wednesday evening slot or first thing on a Monday or Thursday morning. We try to keep wait times short because we know your day is scheduled.
Seniors
Crowns nearing the end of their life, missing teeth that have shifted neighboring teeth out of alignment, dentures that no longer fit. Single implants, implant-supported dentures, and partial dentures restore function for patients who thought their options had run out.
Cosmetic and Restorative Under One Roof
Smyrna patients often arrive with a cosmetic concern that has been bothering them for years: a chipped front tooth that never got fixed, discoloration from old fillings, gaps that show up in photos. We handle the full cosmetic range in-house:
- Teeth whitening, both in-office and take-home
- Cosmetic bonding for chips and small gaps
- Veneers for full-front-tooth makeovers
- Crowns designed to match adjacent teeth, not generic shades
- Full smile makeovers combining multiple procedures
Before-and-after photos of actual case work are available on the website. Ask to see the gallery during your consultation.
Insurance, Financing, and the Friends & Family Membership
Three ways to pay for your family's dental care, so the right fit exists whether you have PPO coverage, no insurance, or a treatment plan that runs into thousands.
In-Network with Most Major PPO Plans
Vibrant Smiles is in-network with most major PPO dental plans and files claims directly on your behalf. For many patients, that means a healthy-mouth cleaning visit costs $0 out of pocket. Call (678) 810-1100 with your card before your first visit for a complimentary benefits check so you know what is covered and what your share of cost will be.
Friends & Family Membership Plan (No Insurance Needed)
If you do not have dental insurance, the Friends & Family Membership Plan is built for you. It runs for 12 months from the date you join and includes:
- Cleanings, exams, and routine x-rays at no additional cost
- Exclusive savings on procedures such as fillings
- Benefits that start immediately
- No deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximums, no claim denials, no pre-approvals
Many Smyrna patients on consultant or 1099 contracts use the Friends & Family plan instead of buying a standalone dental policy. Call (678) 810-1100 for current membership rates.
CareCredit Healthcare Financing
For larger treatment plans (full-mouth restorations, multiple implants, full smile makeovers), CareCredit lets you spread the cost over fixed monthly payments. Interest-free promotional terms are available, subject to approval. The front desk handles the CareCredit application and walks you through what your monthly cost will be before any work begins.
Out-of-Pocket Payments
We accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
