Custom porcelain veneers from a cosmetic dentist who treats every smile as a single, deliberate design. Most Mableton patients finish the full process in two visits, with results that look natural in photographs and last 10 to 15 years.
Porcelain vs. composite veneers
Both work. They differ in lifespan, appearance, and cost.
Porcelain veneers are made in a dental lab from a material that reflects light the way natural enamel does. They resist staining and typically last 10 to 15 years. They cost more upfront and require two visits.
Composite veneers are sculpted directly onto your teeth by the dentist in one appointment. They cost less, look good, and are fully reversible, but they pick up stains over time and usually need replacing every 5 to 7 years.
Most Mableton patients who want a long-lasting, photograph-natural result choose porcelain. Composite tends to be the better fit for younger patients or single-tooth fixes where keeping the option to change course later matters.
Are you a good candidate for veneers?
Veneers work best when:
- Your teeth and gums are generally healthy (we treat any active issues first)
- You have enough enamel for the veneer to bond to
- You don't grind or clench your teeth, or you're willing to wear a nightguard if you do
- You have realistic expectations about what veneers can and cannot do
Veneers are not the right answer for active cavities, gum disease, or for patients who are still growing. We screen for all of this during the consultation. If veneers aren't the right move for your specific smile, we tell you what is.
Veneers cost and financing in Mableton
Veneer cost depends on how many veneers you are getting, the material you choose, and any prep work that has to happen first. Every patient leaves the consultation with a written treatment plan that lists each item and its cost. No surprises after the fact.
Mableton patients can use any of the following payment paths, alone or in combination:
- In-network coverage with most major dental PPO plans. We file claims for you, follow up on delayed claims, help with family-plan coordination, and submit everything electronically. A complimentary benefits consultation by phone before the first appointment is available so you know your coverage in advance.
- CareCredit healthcare financing for fixed monthly payments, with interest-free options subject to approval. We walk you through the application during the consultation if it is the right fit.
- Friends & Family Membership Plan for patients without dental insurance. Includes cleanings, exams, and routine x-rays at no extra cost during the membership year, plus savings on procedures like fillings. Benefits start the day you join. No deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximums, no claim denials.
- Out-of-pocket payment by cash, debit card, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express.

In Dr. Rainford's words
“A veneer case isn't really about teeth. It's about the way someone smiles in photographs, the way they laugh in conversation, the way they walk into a room. My job is to listen carefully to what a patient wants their smile to do for them, and then build the result so it looks natural enough that no one ever guesses they've had work done.”

Veneers FAQs
How long do porcelain veneers last?
With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years. Some patients keep theirs longer with regular checkups, good home hygiene, and a nightguard if they grind. Composite veneers usually last 5 to 7 years.
Are veneers permanent?
Porcelain veneers are considered a permanent cosmetic procedure because a thin layer of enamel is removed to bond the veneer in place. Once that enamel is gone, the tooth always needs a covering. The veneer itself can be replaced when it eventually wears out, but the original tooth surface cannot be restored.
Do veneers ruin your natural teeth?
When done properly, no. Modern veneer preparation removes about 0.5 mm of enamel, the tooth underneath stays intact, and the veneer protects it. Risk to natural teeth comes from poor preparation, poor bonding, or untreated underlying issues like decay or gum disease. That is why the screening visit matters.
How much do veneers cost in Mableton?
Cost depends on the number of teeth treated, the material, and any prep work needed before placement. Every patient receives a written treatment plan with full pricing at the consultation, and we walk through insurance coverage, the Friends & Family Membership Plan, and CareCredit options at the same time. No obligation after the consultation.
Can I get veneers if I have a chipped tooth?
In many cases, yes. A chipped tooth is one of the situations veneers handle well. The consultation visit confirms whether the chip is small enough to address with a veneer (most are) or whether a crown is the better answer. Bonding can also work for very small chips.
How long does the veneers process take?
Two appointments, roughly two to three weeks apart. The first appointment is the consultation and prep visit; the second is the placement. Most patients are in and out of each visit in under 90 minutes.
Are emergency or same-day veneer adjustments available?
Yes. If a temporary or final veneer comes loose, chips, or feels off after placement, call (678) 810-1100 and we will fit you in same-day when possible. Same-day emergency appointments are part of how we run the practice.
Does the practice see family members of veneers patients for routine care?
Yes. Vibrant Smiles is a family and cosmetic practice, so we see children, teens, and adults across the same household. Many of our cosmetic cases start with one family member and grow from there as siblings, parents, or partners come in for cleanings.
