Meet Your Dentist, Dr. Chea Rainford, DMD

Dr. Chea Rainford has practiced dentistry in Georgia for over 15 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of West Georgia, with a minor in Biology, before completing his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta. He has also completed post-graduate training in prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and endodontics, which means many cases that get referred out at other offices stay under one roof here.
Outside the office, Dr. Rainford spends his time with his wife and young daughter, follows the Falcons and Braves closely, and is active with his local church and several charities. He still plays soccer and cricket on his days off, which probably explains why he is so patient with kids who fidget during their checkups.

What to Expect On Your First Visit
When you walk in, our front-desk team will check you in and take you back without a long wait. We block extra time for first appointments because rushing through a new patient is the fastest way to miss something. Here is the typical flow:
- A short conversation about your medical history, dental history, and what brought you in
- Low-radiation digital X-rays if you are due for them
- An exam by Dr. Rainford and an oral cancer screening
- A professional cleaning, unless we need to address something else first
- A clear walk-through of any issues we find, with a written treatment plan that includes pricing
If you have insurance, we will run an estimate before you leave so you know what is covered. If you do not have insurance, we will explain your options, including our in-house Friends and Family Membership Plan and the patient financing options we offer.

Frequently Asked Questions for Powder Springs Patients
How long is the drive from Powder Springs?
A: Most Powder Springs patients reach us in around 18 to 25 minutes via the East-West Connector or Macland Road to Floyd Road. Patients near Wild Horse Creek Park or McEachern High School often find this easier than driving up to Marietta.
Do you see children?
A: Yes. We see children from their first dental visit, through cleanings, sealants, and into orthodontic care if needed. Many Powder Springs families bring everyone in on the same morning.
What insurance plans do you accept?
A: We are in-network with most major PPO dental insurance plans. Call our office at (678) 810-1100 with your insurance information and we will verify your benefits before your first visit.
Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes. For larger treatment plans like implants, full mouth rehabilitation, or smile makeovers, we offer patient financing through trusted third-party lenders, plus our in-house Friends and Family Membership Plan for routine care.
Do you handle dental implants?
A: Yes. We place and restore single dental implants and All-on-4 implants in our Mableton office. Dr. Rainford holds Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
What if I have a toothache and need same-day care?
A: Call us at (678) 810-1100 in the morning. During business hours, we hold time for same-day emergency appointments and will fit you in as fast as possible.
