Gentle, Thorough Cleanings for Smyrna Patients
Smyrna patients drive to Vibrant Smiles in Mableton for cleanings because the practice runs on time, the same hygienist tracks your gum health visit after visit, and Dr. Chea Rainford has practiced at this location for more than 15 years. We handle routine cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and pediatric visits, and we are in-network with most major PPO insurance plans.
For working professionals in Smyrna and Cumberland, the practical detail that matters most: Wednesday evening hours until 7 pm, and same-day appointments often available for emergencies. Call (678) 810-1100 to check the next opening.
What a Cleaning at Vibrant Smiles Looks Like
A routine cleaning takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We start with a health review and an intraoral camera scan so you can see what we see on the screen. Your hygienist takes gum pocket measurements, digital X-rays if you are due, and performs an oral cancer screening. Then comes the cleaning itself: ultrasonic scaling for tartar, hand instruments for below the gumline, polishing for stains, and fluoride if you are at higher cavity risk.
Dr. Rainford reviews everything before you leave. If anything needs follow-up, you get a written plan with the costs included up front.
If you have sensitive teeth, ask about desensitizing gel. If you experience dental anxiety, ask about sedation options when you book — we can plan ahead so the visit stays calm.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is your office from Smyrna?
About 12 to 18 minutes depending on which part of Smyrna you are coming from and current traffic. Market Village and downtown Smyrna patients usually reach us in 12 to 15 minutes via the East-West Connector. Cumberland-area patients take I-285 west to South Cobb Drive, about 15 to 18 minutes.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
We are in-network with most major PPO carriers. Call (678) 810-1100 with your insurance member ID and we will verify coverage before your visit. If you have a less common plan, we may still be able to file claims for you out-of-network.
How often should I get a cleaning?
The ADA recommends a professional cleaning at least every six months for most adults. If you have a history of gum disease, smoke, are pregnant, or take certain medications, your hygienist may recommend cleanings every three to four months. Your schedule is based on your actual gum measurements and risk, not a default rule.
Can I bring my kids in too?
Yes. We see kids of all ages for cleanings, sealants, and exams. Booking parents and children back-to-back the same morning is one of the most common requests we handle.
Do you offer evening or weekend hours?
Wednesday evenings until 7 pm. We are closed Friday through Sunday. Other weekday hours run between 8 or 9 am and 5 or 5:30 pm.
What if I have dental anxiety?
Tell us when you book. We offer desensitizing gel and localized anesthesia for in-visit comfort, and sedation dentistry options for patients with more significant anxiety. Dr. Rainford will go through what makes sense for your medical history before any sedation is used.
