Custom porcelain veneers from a cosmetic dentist who plans every case as a single design decision. Roughly 12 to 18 minutes from Vinings via I-285 west to the East-West Connector, with parking on-site and Wednesday evening appointments.

Why Vinings patients drive to Vibrant Smiles

Vinings has more cosmetic dentistry options inside a 10-minute radius than almost any other community in the area. Patients who make the drive to our Mableton office are usually doing it on purpose. They have looked at the local options, they have specific cosmetic goals already in mind, and they want a doctor who will plan the case to a high standard rather than rush them through it.

That kind of patient is welcome here. Bring photos. Bring references of smiles you like. Bring your questions. The consultation is built for it. Veneers are a long-term decision, and we would rather spend the time to get the design right than push you toward a fast yes.

What porcelain veneers do, and what they don't

Porcelain veneers are thin custom shells bonded to the front of the teeth. Each one is shaped, shaded, and sized for your face and bite. The result, when planned well, looks like the smile you would have had naturally if every tooth had landed exactly where you wanted it.

Veneers handle the cosmetic problems patients most often want fixed:

  • Discoloration that whitening cannot resolve
  • Chips, cracks, or worn-down edges
  • Slightly crooked or unevenly sized teeth
  • Teeth that read as too small for the face
  • Visible gaps you want closed

Veneers are not the answer when a tooth needs structural repair (a crown serves the case better), when there is active decay or gum disease (treat that first), or when a patient is still growing. The screening visit is where these calls get made.

Porcelain vs. composite: how to choose

Porcelain is lab-fabricated, photograph-natural, stain-resistant, and lasts 10 to 15 years on average. It costs more upfront and is placed across two visits. Composite is built up directly on the tooth in one appointment, costs less, and is reversible, but it picks up stains over the years and gets replaced every 5 to 7 years.

Most Vinings patients who are committing to a full smile makeover choose porcelain. The longer service life, photo-natural appearance, and stain resistance fit the use case. Composite is a strong fit when the goal is a single-tooth fix or when the patient is younger and may want flexibility down the line.

Are you a candidate?

Veneers work best when:

  • Teeth and gums are basically healthy (anything active is treated first)
  • There is enough enamel for a clean bond
  • You are not a heavy grinder, or you are willing to wear a nightguard at night
  • You have a clear sense of what you want the result to look like

During the screening, we look at your bite, gum line, lip dynamics, and existing dental work. If something else (orthodontics, gum reshaping, a single crown) would serve the result better, we say so.

Our process

Two appointments, roughly two to three weeks apart.

Visit 1: design and prep

Photos, a 3D scan from our 3M True Definition scanner, and a thorough conversation about what you want. By the end of the visit we have settled shape, size, and shade, your teeth are prepared (about 0.5 mm of enamel removed), temporaries are placed, and the prescription is on its way to our lab.

Visit 2: placement

Temporaries come off, the final porcelain veneers are checked for fit and color, and we bond them one at a time. We adjust the bite, polish, and confirm comfort before you leave. Most patients walk out with the final smile in this visit.

Veneers cost, financing, and payment

Cost depends on how many teeth are treated, material choice, and any prep work needed first. Vinings patients leave the consultation with a written treatment plan that itemizes each line. We do not give phone-quote estimates because veneer pricing is case-specific.

  • In-network with many major dental PPO plans. We file claims, follow up on delays, help with family-plan coordination, and submit electronically. Complimentary phone benefits review available before your first visit.
  • CareCredit healthcare financing for fixed monthly payments with interest-free options, subject to approval. Application help during the consultation.
  • Friends & Family Membership Plan for patients without dental insurance. Includes cleanings, exams, and routine x-rays for the membership year, plus discounts on procedures like fillings. Benefits start the day you join. No deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximums, no claim denials.
  • We accept cash, debit cards, and most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).

How to get to Vibrant Smiles from Vinings

From central Vinings, the drive to our Mableton office takes about 12 to 18 minutes depending on traffic. The most direct route runs I-285 west to the East-West Connector and then to Floyd Road. Patients in the Cumberland Mall area or along Cobb Parkway often find the East-West Connector easier than I-285 during rush hour.

Driving orientation:

  • From Vinings Jubilee or the Old Vinings Mill area: about 12 to 16 minutes via I-285 W to the East-West Connector
  • From the Cumberland Mall or Galleria district: about 14 to 18 minutes via I-285 W
  • From the Riverwood or West Paces Ferry corner of Vinings: about 15 to 20 minutes via Cobb Parkway and the East-West Connector
  • Free on-site parking. The building entrance is at 5015 Floyd Rd SW, Suite 530

Vinings sits at the most metro-adjacent edge of our service area. We see Vinings patients who could choose any of a dozen cosmetic dentists in their immediate area and make the deliberate choice to come to us. We work to earn that choice by spending real time on planning, by treating the consultation as the most important visit of the case, and by saying no when veneers are not the right call.

Wednesday evening appointments are available until 7:00 PM. The Wednesday slots fill first, especially the placement appointment, so book ahead if your schedule is tight.

Veneers FAQs

How long does it take to drive from Vinings?

From central Vinings, plan on 12 to 18 minutes via I-285 west to the East-West Connector. Cumberland and Galleria area patients usually find I-285 the fastest route; patients closer to West Paces Ferry sometimes prefer Cobb Parkway.

Can I bring photos of smiles I want to match?

Yes, and we encourage it. Reference photos are one of the most useful inputs we get. They tell us a lot about the shape, proportion, and shade you actually want, which helps the lab work and saves time at placement.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 15 years with proper care. Some patients keep theirs longer. A nightguard is recommended if you grind.

Are veneers permanent?

Porcelain veneers are considered permanent because a thin layer of enamel is removed to bond them. The veneer can be replaced when it wears out, but the original enamel cannot be restored. We make sure you understand the trade-off before any prep work begins.

Do veneers ruin natural teeth?

When done properly, no. The 0.5 mm of enamel removed during prep is offset by the protection the veneer provides. The risk comes from poor case planning, poor bonding, or treating veneers as a quick fix when there are underlying issues. Screening prevents that.

How much do veneers cost?

Cost depends on number of teeth, material, and any prep work. Every patient leaves the consultation with a full written treatment plan and a clear walk-through of insurance, CareCredit, and the Friends & Family Membership Plan. No obligation.

How long does the full process take?

Two appointments, roughly two to three weeks apart. Most appointments wrap inside 90 minutes.
